Hate to break it to you all, but that dead tank actually appears to be a PzKpfw VII L÷we... no way a KV-1 takes that out. It's a super-heavy. With a classification like that, there's no way the older heavy tank would kill it. It could have been taken out by something else, but that KV-1 appears to be the only thing in the area. Maybe it was destroyed by an S-51 far in the distance or something.
This is still ridiculously awesome though. I love all your artwork; it's the best tank renders I can find. Nice work.
Picture is very good, exact, but though hardly KV-1 could to meet at the field of battle with a tank "King Tiger" because in 1944 have appeared in the Soviet Army tanks, such as a IS-1, IS-2, T-34-85, ISU-152, SU-100 and others, and KV-1 became obsolete, although there was some military units in small numbers, and more in modernized form, as KV-1S (speed), KV-85 and other, and in this picture shows a KV-1 Model 1941, one of the first versions with additional armor on the turret and bolted bolts.
I do not criticize your picture, just wanted to say an opinion as an expert on the tanks of the World War II...
Good to see the KV in action! Interesting caption on the turret, I haven't seen that one too often. You've done a great job with the little details here, I especially like the way the KV is grinding upslope.
