Hate to break it to you all, but that dead tank actually appears to be a PzKpfw VII L÷we... no way a KV-1 takes that out. It's a super-heavy. With a classification like that, there's no way the older heavy tank would kill it. It could have been taken out by something else, but that KV-1 appears to be the only thing in the area. Maybe it was destroyed by an S-51 far in the distance or something.

This is still ridiculously awesome though. I love all your artwork; it's the best tank renders I can find. Nice work.

Nah, that ain't a Löwe, its a Panther (you can tell from the backside), which still highly outclasses the KV. Of course, one of the main characteristics of Russian tanks are that they're never alone. The Soviets never deployed SPGs en masse, so the KV is probably being followed by T-34s, or a couple ISs.

Depends of the year actually.

Completely right, and considering the nature of the encounter, I'd probably say this is around the end of 1943, which rules out the IS, as it wasn't deployed until 44. The damage sustained by the Panther also looks like it detonated the ammo rack, blowing off the turret, which is a feat I don't think the T-34 could accomplish, because the T-34/85 (which had a very capable gun) hadn't fully replaced the the T-34/76, which should likely have been present in this scenario.
At that, I'd probably say this may have been the work of a heavy weight tank killer, artillery, or airstrike, as nothing else would have been able to cause that damage, even in full force. Thanks for the correction.

Wow that Kliment Voroszilow(KW-1) looks awesoem, and that took out heavy is a Panther?(Yup due to heavy arm of that tanks, Panther could be classified as heavy tank; second classification type.)

Nicely done, but a KV-1 taking out a PzKw VI "Koenigstiger". I don't think so.

looks to be like the setting at StalinGrad or the Volga. a victorious KV heavy towering over the shattered remains of a german Panther C. beautiful!

I presume the KV tank is moving forward (snow and debris flying)? I suggest you'd try and add some motion blur to the tracks to add more to the immersion of movement. :)

I also think the tracks could be a bit more sunk into the snow. That thing must weight several ten-thousand kilos, so it couldn't float above the snow. ;)

Otherwise this is a really atmospheric image, the sunrise looks natural and the setting fits the russian KV tank (or vice versa). Nice work! :)
