I think this is absurd, because most veteran US pilots confirm that it was nearly impossible to take down a Me 262 in flight! The only effective tactic was to ambush it on takeoffs and landings, but even that proved difficult, because of the many anti-aircraft guns the germans had installed on airfields that fielded the Me 262!
A fully functional Me262 was almost impossible to bring down in a dogfight, simply because they were so much faster than allied fighters. If I recall properly most Me262 losses kills were of aircraft that were damaged, taking off or landing.
Of course this never stopped an escort from going after the 262s. If the 262 is having to evade intercept, he can't take down the bombers. Which after all was the goal of an escort fighter, not to score kills, but protect the bombers by forcing enemy fighters to engage, or evade.
As for the piece above , Awesome, its a very good action scene. well done, great background.
